Curse of Naxxramas is like the first expansion of Hearthstone where new single player mode are introduced. It was released on July 22, 2014 and the setting of the adventure is at the Scourge’s necropolis, Naxxramas. Like the raid Maxxramas in World of Warcraft, there are five wings each represented by the wings in Hearthstone. With 30 new collectible cards that can be obtained by completing the adventure it will create some new combinations and strategies. To unlock Naxxramas, players must be first unlock all nine class first, as for access to each Wing, it must be purchased with either in game gold or real money.

The first wing will be free to for the first month after released. The little expansion contains a series of 2 to 4 boss battles at each wing, and is available at Normal or Heroic mode. Heroic being a higher level has proven to be difficult to beat, but assess is only granted to players who has completed Normal mode.

Players are rewarded when they have defeated all the bosses in a wing on Heroic difficulty. Players will earn mostly XP from Naxxramas as quests cannot be completed through the adventure except for “Total Dominance”or “3 Wins”.
